exactly worth the price

quickly and accurately and worth the price. I've used Myron Ls before, they're good too but slow and if they break parts may be unavailable for weeks. it is better

Two Bad Devices: Cloth Analyzer

I bought one of these and it died on the first day. I called Extech customer service and they confirmed it was faulty. I ordered a second one and it also died on the first day.

Excellent product suitable for pH testing

It was really great. I bought a spare probe just in case, but I didn't have to use it. Two notes: 1) DO NOT pull the dipstick out of the stock liquid, rather unscrew the cap. 2) The automatic temperature compensation uses the reference temperature in the sensor head. That means the sensor head needs to be close to room temperature for it to work (i.e. don't leave it in a cold garage like I did). It will tell HHH when you connect the sensor if the device is too cold. We strongly recommend this…

Very affordable option if you need to take measurements in the lab etc.

I need to accurately measure pH from 1 to 13 for some lab tests. My other counter was terrible. I didn't want to spend many hundreds or thousands of dollars on a lab pH meter. After much research I came across the Extech PH220-C pH meter. I am very impressed. I did a two point calibration (pH 4 and 7) and tried to measure 0.1N. KOH solution (it's a very accurate pH 13 solution) and it showed 13.0! Make sure you order some buffer bags elsewhere. This meter comes with just two sachets of…

The product was defective upon receipt!

The pH meter I received was broken on arrival!. The pH meter could not be calibrated. So I couldn't use the pH meter properly! So I had to send it back! After doing my research on this particular pH meter, the reviews I read were not very positive about this particular pH meter! So I requested a refund so I could buy another pH meter instead of replacing it with the same pH meter!

Pros
  • pH meter
Cons
  • Not sure

disappointed

Works well but there is a problem as you can see in the video (the battery holder slides out exposing the rubber O-ring). For this reason it is not waterproof. The springs that make contact with the 9 volt battery terminals are strong enough to open the lid. There is also a problem with poor design. (The buttons have to be pressed hard enough to damage the display.) Thought I actually had a dead count on arrival, but the buttons have to be pressed very hard. TO UPDATE. On May 6th I emailed…
