Works well but there is a problem as you can see in the video (the battery holder slides out exposing the rubber O-ring). For this reason it is not waterproof. The springs that make contact with the 9 volt battery terminals are strong enough to open the lid. There is also a problem with poor design. (The buttons have to be pressed hard enough to damage the display.) Thought I actually had a dead count on arrival, but the buttons have to be pressed very hard. TO UPDATE. On May 6th I emailed Extech directly and on the 7th I received a reply from Scott in Sales. He said they will send me a new exact replacement asap and test it before shipping, all free shipping included. This is service and dedication!
