We have a Vicks Cool Starry Night Filter that has been using a Protec filter for over a year. I recently disassembled and completely cleaned it and decided to just buy a new block. The block comes with an AMAZING filter stays clean no goo they get almost instant and after seeing what I hate I have to buy these things. The docs say it takes more than 30 days to exchange but it ends up being 2/3 weeks. TOPS Just low quality and overpriced

The box did not come as in the photo. Also, it was dingy and sticky, and there was no inner filter wrap. Of course it's important that the filters are very clean and I wasn't sure about that. It started breaking when I installed it. I won't buy this again. These filters are nothing like the ones that come with the Vicks B3900 humidifier. First, they are too big and we had to force them in. Second, it creases and tears at the ends after a day, and it can't be turned upside down like we have to do every time we fill it. Because we have hard water, I often have to order filters for my Vicks Model V3100 humidifier. I ordered this product as the filters were said to fit the V3100, but when I put the filter in I found it to be a bit large (when I placed the top of the water filled humidifier it sank down to fit) . The filters fit our Vicks 3500 model perfectly and have no complaints. I will definitely buy a dozen more for this price. Prices are lower than Walmart and Publix. The only downside is that the standard filter doesn't have metal wires at the top to hold it in place. However, the overall stamp is slightly narrower in width.
