Works on my router and switch in the VLAN and as another IP in the network.

Worked great on my VLAN for my Ubiquiti network. Also worked by just plugging it in and running it on the same network as my TVs and computers. It is assigned an IP address and only works if you plug it in. I am very happy with the easy installation.

I was nervous that this wouldn't work for my application based on previous comments, but it worked. I have 1-TX through 3-RX (see images for part numbers) running across 2 unmanaged Netgear 5 port switches. Everything was installed with category 6a shielded cables. They are used to carry the signal to the large televisions in our church sanctuary. Installation was nothing more than plugging it in and turning it on. No setting is mentioned.
