Great for remote computer setup

This works great to extend my internet signal booster. When I want to work on the patio it gives me a great connection and works just as well as next to a WiFi router.

The extender works as if the device were connected with a short USB 3.0 cable.

works as expected. Currently used for remote USB 3.0. a media server for my media room and I had no buffering or frame drops. It works as if connected directly to my projector (shown connected to a USB 3 device). The cable is well made and even has its own power supply.

No need to use an external power supply

When I first opened this box I was upset to see a large, bulky power supply that was included. This is not required for this USB to work and is only needed if you want to amplify the signal. I used it and easily connected 2 devices via a splitter without additional power supply. I managed to use it to connect 2 computers to an audio interface and a midi keyboard. The computers were more than 20 feet away. Great cable, great quality and works great so far.

"Active " is an active adjective here

Yes, 32 feet and an activity LED light are great, but the difference is in the "active" label. You need to make sure there is no signal loss. Yes, you might think you don't need it, but how can you be sure without cable telemetry? This Unitek model gives you the option to use an external power supply with a DC jack (3.5*1.35mm) connected to a 5V 2A power supply. Unfortunately they include this feature not as an option. Therefore no 5 stars for this SKU. Unfortunately it's too difficult to find…

IT ACTUALLY WORKS well for computers and accessories

So I was hesitant to buy it at first as it seems like the vast majority of the good reviews got it for free so I thought I'd give it a try . I just moved my setup and needed more than the max length than a standard USB 3.0 extension cable as my webcam froze, wouldn't turn on etc from daisy chaining a 15ft and a 6ft cable together. The cable has good build quality and appears to be built to last. It works seamlessly with a mouse and keyboard, as well as 16GB or smaller flash drives and powered external drives. In order for it to work with large flash drives or external drives without power, you need a power supply. (It was included in my package even though the description says it isn't.)
