Excellent body! the best among hard drive accessories

Unlike some other cases, this one has standoffs so you can use ultra-thin drives while keeping them securely in the case. A really nice feature is that the case is attached with screws, so it's secure. The kit includes a screwdriver and an extra screw. The only downside - and this is trivial - is that the screws are very small, so some people may need a magnifying glass and/or tweezers to help with the installation. This is the best case we have ever bought!

"External 2.5" SATA HDD USB 3.0 Enclosure - ElecGear Aluminum Caddy Enclosure for Large 2.5" SSD Hard Drives" That's how This case is advertised. In fact, the case is made of plastic, but only the lid is made of metal. So if you're looking for better cooling for your hard drive or SSD, look elsewhere. The HDD or SSD is held in place by a SATA connector and foam pads (my case had the pads already glued to the plastic case, so you need to remove the interface board, connect the HD/SSD to the SATA

Defective on delivery for hard drive housing

Item was defective on delivery. It was the right size for my thicker hard drive and the blue LED came on when plugged in. But my computer didn't recognize the drives when I connected the USB. to the USB cable).

Great for SSD and HD

Pretty good quality for the price. I used it to connect a Samsung 850EVO as a backup drive. SSD to SSD is of course very fast. Comes with very small screws but includes a small screwdriver. Even includes little sticky rubber spacers to fill in gaps to hold discs of different sizes securely in place. Works perfectly!

good value best hard drive case

This is a nice, fast, compact drive case that fits snugly on a 15mm hard drive. Finding a USB 3.1 enclosure big enough for a 4TB Barracuda isn't easy. This requires screws, which isn't optimal, but there's also a small screwdriver to make this task easier.

The product itself is VERY solid and very reliable with a 15mm hard drive.

Checked a few months after purchase. This external hard drive contains everything you need to install any of the compatible hard drives. I installed a 2TB Toshiba 15mm hard drive myself (the thickest version of laptop hard drives). Installing a hard drive in an external INEO was an easy task even if you are not tech savvy. The product itself is VERY solid and looks very reliable with the 15mm hard drive I have installed in it. All test speeds were tested with the "USBDeview" program. The speeds

Suitable if you need a sleeve for a 15mm disc

So far so good. I specifically used this to transplant one of those bigger or thicker 15mm drives from Seagate's old USB 2.0 expansion into this one, which allowed me to take advantage of the higher USB 3.0 data rates.

The label was different from the picture on Google's website.

Another label indicates that the drive I received was manufactured by a third party other than Seagate and may not be covered by the Seagate warranty. I am waiting for this information from Seagate. That's what the reviews said. Everything is white. It does not have a green Seagate section to indicate it is manufactured by Seagate. That's a completely different label, all white.
