This product does not work, DO NOT BUY BECAUSE OF FALSE REVIEWS. It's a junk drive and it doesn't even connect to the computer. I know it's not a computer, it's brand new and works great. To make matters worse, the seller restricts the return window so now I have a piece of junk that I can't even return if it never worked. The product arrived unusable and in this condition. The drive works very well reading Blu-ray disc with Windows 7. It can use USB 3, not USB 2. It can't use USB 3 with win10. That makes it ten times slower than it should be. If you just "watch" a movie on Blu-ray, then you're good to go. If you plan to do something else, such as B. transferring Blu-ray disc to computer is very slow and almost useless with Win 10.

Are you looking for an inexpensive external BluRay drive. So far I'm impressed with this drive. It has a nice aluminum body and comes with two cables. The USB cable has USB-A and USB-C connectors. The second cable is a USB cable to power the drive when your USB hub/computer is not getting enough power. I hooked it up to a Mac laptop running OS 11.1 and it worked great. The drive worked fine for a while. About three months after purchase, it disappeared from my Windows 10 system and had to be reinstalled. 5 months after purchase, it was only recognized as a regular USB drive and could not read discs, DVDs or Blu-rays. Testing on multiple machines with the same result. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help this time.

There are two ratings for this product. One rating was 4.5 and I thought I was making a good purchase. After the item arrived and my daughter couldn't get it to work, a subsequent search gave it a 2.5 rating (which is much more accurate). She asked to watch movies while relaxing in her dorm room (TVs are not allowed). We found that the Blu-ray software was an additional purchase, almost doubling the original purchase. We have returned the product at this moment.

I want to echo Ed Taggart's comments. I also use this drive on a Mac running OS X 10.11 and MakeMKV and it works fine. I bought this disc because my previous Blu-ray player (an old Samsung model) kept giving errors. Not only does this drive read these discs perfectly, but it is also much faster than my old drive. I didn't have to install anything and it even works from a (powered) USB 2.0 hub. This disc is definitely worth eighty dollars.

This is the worst purchase of my life, absolutely useless. Failed after just one film and I've been assembling computers and electronics for 20 years. Totally not worth the money, looks like I could have given up Wish for 20.00, they wanted to 'fix' the item, it's a plug and play device, you can only plug and play or disconnect and reconnect. Period
