Already in IT mode which is also nice no need to flash. Works well so far but is a lot more expensive than some of the others I'd like to know about.

This is not an LSI. This is a Chinese fake but it will be very difficult for you to tell just by looking. Very good card quality for the money.

This card allows me to start and create an UNRAID server. I use this to connect HD to MB. I use 4-10 TB Iron Wolf hard drives. Everything works perfectly and was easy to set up. So far no problems!

Using TrueNAS Core/FreeNAS on ESXi with PCIe forwarding. I work first. Report a premature failure when it occurs. For now it works exactly as expected. Six 6TB Hitachi He8 drives in striped ZFS mirrors.

I installed it on my system to connect a SFF-8644 JBODI that no longer has the CD so the included optical disc was useless. I had to find the 10tek seller site to download the drivers. The installation process was pretty standard, but not easy. Provide a unique URL where drivers can be downloaded. CD-ROM is simply obsolete!

A good choice for inexpensive internal storage such as a home NAS with Gigabit connections. For filesystems like ZFS you don't need HW-RAID, HBA is best. Also, I would recommend NVMe PCIe SSD as file system cache (ZIL/L2ARC in case of ZFS or LVM dm cache). Works well when you need to connect 4-8 hard drives.
