They get warm first, then hot

I've bought these heaters before. Compared to another brand I own, these heaters don't get as hot initially and don't last as long as my others. I will say that they are much easier to activate and much cheaper. I've also noticed that my other heater gets really solid when activated, which wasn't the case initially. Maybe that's why they don't get as hot. I recommend for the price. But be careful because after repeated use they will break. One spilled on my bed and part of my leg and was burned

and in severe chills it's good to have something to keep you warm.

I hunt and in severe frosts it's good to have something to keep warm on the stand. They're not as effective as Hot Hands or similar activated oxygen heat packs, but being able to reuse them makes them a lot cheaper than other packs in the long run. In the mornings when I'm cold, I apply one every hour or two as needed to warm my hands, then tuck under the base layer where I'm cold. Normally I can sit with backpacks from 6am to 12pm and without them I would be out of the tent by 9am. My limiting

Instant VERY HOT heat.

These amazing things. One push of a button and instant HOT HOT HOT heat! They last around 20 minutes. I give them to my mother when we go to a cold restaurant. She loves them and can't do without 3 in her purse. Sometimes they somehow get activated accidentally. TO UPDATE. After many years of use by my mother, we found them to be activated many times in her purse. I can't figure out why as it's so hard to press the button inside them, but for some reason they activate. There is also a slight…

Bad batch or bad product. You decide

Today is the first time I've used it since I bought it. I'm a diver, tennis player and wanted to use them for both. If you snorkel in the winter to keep your hands warm it doesn't get that cold in Florida but we do get weird cold days like YESTERDAY and if you're wet and cold I thought it would be a nice addition to the boat. and in tennis I just wanted them to keep my hands warm. In my experience I activated 2 of these yesterday and they were barely WARM. Not really as hot as I wanted or heard

  • The delivery was very fast

I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it.

2.5 hours? Yes No. Not even close. I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend or buy it again. I bought them because I work outdoors, I paid extra money thinking they would last 1.5-2.5 hours, I figured four of them should last a day. Not correct! They each lasted barely 1/2 hour. are they warm Yes, but only for a fraction of the time I was led to believe. So I'm out in the snow working with my hands on cold wet steel and when I first used these heating pads they didn't…

OK, not great. Advice to follow:

In cold weather, when you're most likely to use them, they start out so cold that most of the heat from the chemical reaction is used to heat up the gel itself, rather than warming up your hands. To get the most out of it, I recommend warming it up in hot water before leaving. It will hold that heat for a good 30-60 minutes before it gets too cold anyway to make much of a difference if kept in a jacket pocket or similar. In most cases, a higher hot water temperature is sufficient. definitely…

They WORK, but NOT FOR LONG!

I do youth sports and play soccer and baseball outdoors. I use grabber heatpacks to keep my hands warm while gaming after the sun goes down. I recently ran away and remembered that I have a ProHeat rechargeable heat pack that I bought about 30 years ago and rarely use. It worked, so I thought I'd try it outside again. As I get older, watching youth sports in the cold or even going for a walk, my hands get cold and my bones just can't take temperatures below 60 degrees anymore. So instead of…
