Have only used the pad a couple times, mostly kneeing to work on the car. Helps ease the pain on my knees. Have not use it to sit on yet with work in the yard, but would seem good for your gluteus maximus.

Very, VERY firm. Gives total support without being cushy, yet is still comfortable. A great size; if your body is big, this will work well for you. You do not need to punch out the carry handle if you prefer not to. Fantastic to sit on for weeding garden or kneel on for whatever. Also, two stacked together are ideal for meditation, with feet folded on floor slightly lower than your bottom. A great value that in my opinion precludes other similar items. My highest recommendation.

I use mine for work and it came just in time.I put it n what looks like a giant freezer back (commercial ziplock) to keep it clean and dry while I kneel on it

I bought this pad for my job. I crawl around culverts from time to time and the concrete and rocks take their toll on my knees. Not anymore. This won't replace my knee pads when I'm moving, but during those times when I need to stop to take a photograph, measurement or do a sketch, this pad is great.
