It has helped us a lot. We've done 3/4 acres and we don't have much left. I launch it onto the ground and put the sod staples in, it digs in! We live in Ohio so winters can be harsh. We run a fence across the driveway (cement) but my teens don't always drive accurately on the driveway and we had issues with line breaks. This seems to be holding up very well. Would buy again!

Great replacement for a small dog fence. I ordered 2000ft (2 x 1000ft) and the company actually sent me a 2000ft spool! I could walk every 1600 feet on a piece of wire. The fence works great now. I installed this cable about 4 months ago - it's nice and strong. We're in the mountains so I wanted to make sure I didn't end up with a flimsy wire that could easily be damaged. I still haven't buried most of the wire, but burying the part I got this summer was pretty easy. Good strong wire for our invisible fence. The perimeter of the yard is 700 feet, so that worked well. I routed the cable, twisted the ends going into the house, connected to the transmitter and plugged in. Checked for signal, no breaks. Then bury it about 4 inches (by making a narrow trench next to the wire with a bevel, then push the wire into the trench with a meter stick) or secure it to the base of the chain link fence with 4 zip ties. We installed with a cable trencher. Put about 900' in 45 minutes or so. When the original wire was laid without a trencher, it took a full day. There were no problems breaking the line with the trencher. The cable works great and seems to have a much better signal than the cable that originally came with the device. I recently purchased and installed this Extreme Dog Fence 18 Gauge 1000 Foot Continuous Spool. During installation I found 2 defective areas (one shown in attached picture) where the plastic cover/insulation had peeled away exposing the exposed copper wire.
