It was a great price and it worked great, I had a cheap 22 gauge yellow wire and due to a cold New England winter my electric dog fence wouldn't stay plugged in, it was worth raising the price .

This cable is great for rural areas. The heavy duty cover really stands up to gravel driveways, streams, etc. I would recommend this to users who don't want to replace their guardrail every two years.

This product is expensive but worth it. Don't bother with flimsy wire if you have a small lawn or don't mind spending all your free time tending the fence and looking for breaks. This wire is amazingly strong and can handle the flavor of my herb jelly.

Wire was installed a month or two ago. It works well. The only problem I had was that there were two clean breaks on one wire (spool). So these are places that are not waterproof. The black ribbon was all we had. If it holds up, then it works great. So far, so good.

Used to install Husqvarna lawn mowers. This wire is built to withstand heavy use and will hopefully withstand accidental cuts. I've mostly buried the wire with a trencher, but in some places it lies on the surface and is very visible as the sheath is a bright neon green, which may be what the manufacturer intended. Very happy with the product.

Install about 10 acres of underground fence using 14 gauge wire. We strongly recommend using a stronger and thicker wire, especially when driving long distances or through forests and streams like we did. I'm happy to find a strong copper wire that doesn't corrode or break as badly as other wires. Good thing, very satisfied. I ordered 5 spools of 500 feet of 14 gauge wire and 2 of the 5 spools had regular cuts in the coating from time to time. It was so embarrassing! I used this to put up an underground electric fence for my dogs and I went around and unfolded it and saw the joints in the black finish. The wire was intact, but I had to constantly stop and isolate those open spots. If I wasn't in the middle of a big project I would have returned them. Very dissatisfied with the product. Much heavier than the standard wire that comes with underground fences. I bought this because I was running one side of my previous underground fence in a wooded area and was tired of checking for breaks in the wire. I didn't have it installed at the time of this review, but it appears to be a significantly higher quality cable than the one I used the first time. I've also thought about buying a regular THHN 14 AWG from my local electrical stock but they tell me previous customers have tried it

This is a heavy-duty wire. Why did I fix the cheap yellow wire in the fence kit so many times? If you're a first-time pet fencer, spend the extra $$ and save on installing new wires and repairing broken yellow wires and get this 14 ga wire. I hope I never have to use my broken wire detector again. I just installed this 14ga cable.
