Just get it! Fits oil drain plug

Installed in 2002 Toyota Tacoma with V6 5vzfe engine for almost a year. I change the oil several times as I drive 70km a day. Works perfectly. No leaks. Ease of installation. Used EZ (EZ-103) silver thread size 12mm-1.25. Just get it!

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Safety

That's cool. for engine parts

This product is amazing. I installed it on my Avalon and I'm sorry I didn't know about this product before. No more changing the oil drain plug washer. I love how it's designed to be easy to use and ensures it doesn't get lost. I'm sold so I bought another one for my SUV.

  • Few competitors

Best Solution for Oil Change

If you change your own oil and have multiple cars, I highly recommend buying one for each car. Makes oil changes quick, easy and less messy. Just make sure you choose the right size for each machine. I used to be afraid that the valve might open because I hit something under the car. This has never happened in over a decade.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Can't remember but something happened

The name speaks for itself. EZ drain!

This product is fit for the application and performs as advertised. At the moment there are no complaints. I've installed it on over 3 vehicles and I'm glad I did. This saves me time when changing the oil and helps prevent drain plugs from being ripped off by less experienced "mechanics". Some cars I don't even have to jack up to change the oil (provided I can change the oil filter without jacking up the car).

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

Broke off when installing in oil pan, cheap metal

I have Fumoto brand drain plugs on my truck and van. It was for a cheap Prius that I had just paid for in cash. I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative to the Fumoto valve but unfortunately it broke during installation. I never felt any resistance when installing and it just fell apart. Really disappointed. The material/metal used in this plug is much cheaper than fumoto valves. You can tell by the weight of the product. Now I either have to figure out how to get it out of the drain pan or…

Better than Fumoto, imo

Twenty months with this EZ and Fumoto valve. Both feel good. I prefer EZ because the inner diameter is larger so it drains faster. It sticks out from the bottom, but on my Tacoma truck, the crossbar is under the valve, which prevents debris from getting into the valve. It would be very cautious to install these valves on any vehicle where it hangs low as it can get caught in road debris or get hit. Update 05/03/17: After three years the valve is not leaking. Same as Fumoto on my wife's ES350…

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not everything fits

AS GOOD AS FOMOTO

I have used the same Fomoto oil drain valve on my last three Japanese cars and one European car and it has never leaked. It was passed down from car to car and used the same pad. I forgot to take it off before I sold my last car so I now have an EZ dump valve on my last Toyota and although it looks like die cast metal unlike the Fomoto which was all brass. The EZ seems very well made and even has a slight grip on the open grip that the Fomoto didn't have. The opener is also slightly easier to…

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

More excited to get it than to use it.

I was glad to get this at first but I've found that it makes oil changes a bit easier and cleaner, but it really only saves me a 14mm socket. I still need a container to catch the oil, I still need to get under the truck, I still need to recycle the oil, I can get my hand out of the way faster than before. This doesn't relieve me of the need to change the oil filter or clean the leaking oil. This saves me from having to change the gasket, but it kills the magnet I put in the drain plug and…
