Great new product for me

Faber Castell gel pens are amazing. The colors are so vibrant and the sticks are easy to hold. I love to draw and these gel pens make drawing easy. I like the fact that you can paint on canvas and then add splashes of water to create a watercolor effect. My daughter loves to stamp and found these gel pens are great for stamping too. Simply rub the wand over the stamp and spray water to create the stamp effect. This is a great new product for me. My only warning: when drawing, be careful not to…

Ooo beauty! - Drawing Media

I was curious to see how this might differ from Gelatos which I also love. My understanding is that the main difference is that they are for children and are NOT permanent. I'm currently using them on some embossed Christmas cards, which I make by lightly rubbing silver, green, or yellow (which looks gold) over the embossed area and smearing it with my fingers. I use dark green card stock and it looks amazing! Washes off easily and since I don't worry too much about my Christmas cards being…

  • Fingers crossed

Beautiful colors, easy to work with, beautiful effects.

Metallized gelatos (or "gels", many argue if they are the same, they work as intended for me and the lightfastness hasn't proven to be an issue), an absolute favorite. in rave reviews. Love the colors, love the effects, love how they glide. And they last forever. I've been using this set enthusiastically for many months and still have tons left. Gold will come first and I'll just replace it with a gold/silver duo. The surfaces you can create with them are absolutely stunning, if not…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Tolerability

Same as Gelato on Art Media

As far as I can tell it's the same as Gelato but much cheaper. I compared the gold gel stick to the gold ice cream I bought previously and couldn't tell any difference between the two. Same texture, same color, they react with water in the same way. Even the plastic tubes are identical except for one line of print (one tube bears the word gelatos, the other repeats Faber Castell). The only difference is that Gelatos come in different colors. Save money and buy gel pens especially if you want to

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are nuances

Faber gel pens in markers

LOVE THESE! That is amazing; You can use them with watercolors, but you can also use them dry and blend like pastels. The consistency is a bit firmer than lipstick. They match perfectly! I use them for coloring stamp images, illustrations and adding shimmer to stamp images. I even mixed them with water and put them in Tim Holtz/Ranger Mini Mister bottles and made my own shimmery sprays in the colors I wanted. These nebulae cost $5 and up each! There are plenty of guides on YouTube if you need…

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

It's a fun environment for random creative projects

This is a fun environment for random creative projects. I wanted to start experimenting with my journal and making my own postcards and paper crafts, but I didn't want to invest a lot of money and I'm glad I didn't. While they're fun and the colors are bright, I'm not in love with them yet. If you use it dry on dry paper and then add water with a brush or finger, the lines will not smear without risk of adding too much water and affecting the quality of the paper. I've checked out the tutorials

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Doubtful

I realize it's not quite what I was hoping for as I don't have the skills to make something out of an apartment Beautiful to make, hygienic lipstick, similar to chalk. They produce more appealing results when working with a brush and water or a fingertip. ✯ I like the fact that when blended with the finger they can give a very watercolor like look without water. This makes it practical to use on the thinner paper you find in magazines. ✯ Metallic luster will not wear off, so they remain…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

A set of gel pens good enough for most people

So at this price point this is a really decent art tool. I usually use Derwent Inktense pens when I want to do something with colour, but pens aren't always good for covering a large area and I haven't been very creative lately so I couldn't bring myself to spend too much. Money for Derwent Inktense blocks. I thought it would be a good cheap alternative for now. I've attached an image (taken on cheap printer paper, sorry for the quality) showing all colors (except white) both as a thin line…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
