Not worth it for art projects

i was REALLY disappointed with this pencil. As someone who frequently uses arts and crafts to unwind, I was hoping for a quality product. However, as a result of my tests I determined that it did not blend well and left a grainy texture on my drawings .While the eraser on the end of the pencil was useful, it did not make up for the lack of quality in the overall product..

Pros
  • Eraser on the end was useful
Cons
  • Did not blend well, left a grainy texture on my drawings.

A great alternative to graphite or dry charcoal

It would be a shame if Faber-Castell charcoal pencils were to disappear as they are becoming harder and harder to find. They have all the properties of "dry" charcoal, without the dust and brittleness. Like graphite, they flow smoothly but offer rich blacks and grays without the reflective silvery gray of graphite. They can even be mixed with colored pencils. So if you like a pencil that flows smoothly, blends and erases well, and delivers deep tones that graphite doesn't have, give them a try.

Pros
  • Painting, drawing and craft supplies
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
