Tough ride but works

Looks great. Easy installation. If you have any questions, visit the Toyota Tacoma Enthusiast Facebook page! The rear rides hard, I hope better shocks can fix that.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Can't remember

More lift than advertised

Added this to my 2002 Tacoma over a Bilstein 5100. and raised the rear 3 inches! Slightly larger than advertised but I'm sure they will stretch a bit. Installation is a bit tricky, you may need extra connectors and someone to help you with that, but I've seen some add them themselves if they know what they're doing.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

I didn't measure but it seems my rear end was raised 2-4 inches instead of just 1.5 inches. After that I had to raise the front end to bring the truck closer to the level. Update: 5 years later and I haven't had any issues with these leaf springs and my rear end is still up.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Repair

Great product for the money, my truck went up 2 inches!

For $65 I can't complain. It raised my truck 2 inches even though it's only advertised 1.5. The ride isn't much rougher than the stock version and my truck feels more stable now. There is no more axle wrapping and body roll is reduced. The only thing is that the installation is not the easiest thing if you are inexperienced. I would buy again!

Pros
  • GOLS certified

Perfect fit for the 2001 Tacoma Double Cab Prerunner.

Ideal for a 2001 Tacoma Double Cab. Installed on a truck with a mileage of 250 km on the original springs. They restored the arch and added much needed height, about 2 inches. The reviewer who had uneven results from side to side probably installed backwards or forgot to tighten the dampers at ride height. Installation requires large C-clamps, they are under significant stress when fully bolted. Be careful!

Pros
  • Nice Package
Cons
  • Something Different

Fabtech (FTS205) 1-1/2 " Add-A-Leaf Kit for Toyota Tacoma

I finally had to install this pair of add-ons on my 2004 Tacoma 4X4 because two leaf springs sagged. After adding these two blades (one on each side - makes 4 blades on each side) the ride becomes stiff and bouncy. Also the truck was raised about 2". I plan on taking them off because it's not safe to put one on and have a bouncy ride, especially off-road.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • some little things

FTS-205 on Gen 1 Taco

Raises the back end 2-2.5 inches instead of 1.5. I installed them for almost 2 months, no problems except a little bouncing in the back each time. Simply remove the transfer sheet to get rid of it, but leave it on if you plan on towing or towing something big in the near future. You also need new shock absorbers, the original ones don't have enough travel. So get a good set of Bilsteins that are rated for 2-3 inches of rear lift.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Wrinkled Wrap

Rear risers to various heights, not 1.5". The driver's rear was about 1 inch and the rear left side was about 0.5 inch. Very upset. It may be acceptable if each blade adds the same amount of lift. I have ordered several shocks that require at least 1 inch of travel to install. Now it's a waste of time and money. Can't use them for long as I need another lift option to get my shocks working, but will update the review if the dive side sags and dips a little (don't expect the passenger side to go

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Replacement available

Great purchase, simple solution for what I need.

Very pleasant, inexpensive purchase. I was initially reluctant to buy, but the original leaf springs were worn out and sagging. I really didn't want to lift my 2001 Tacoma too much, I wanted a heavier spring. In the end I was very happy. I wanted to pay either over $400 for a pair of Drakars (OMEmu) or $800 for Toyota Blades. I thought that only a hundred, I'll try. Raise the tail about 2 inches first and now about 1 inch above the bearing after installation. I ended up combining them with some

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
