So I wear size 8 women's shoes most of the time they're marked 40/41 (that's European size) for L (women's size 9.5-10.5), and they're wearable but tight. I would just take out the inserts but there is a rough floor to hold the insert. I hope they stretch a little and all goes well with them. But I'm glad my sister didn't order M, otherwise I wouldn't be able to wear them.

It's like walking on nails because of the bumps on the sole. I am shocked that nobody mentioned this in their review as it makes the shoe unwearable! The seller said that the insoles can be left on, but they do not stick to the shoes at all and they slide, bringing a new kind of discomfort when wearing them. If you want to try walking on your nails, order one size up.

If you want to buy these water boots, take one size larger than necessary, they run small. The material is not very thick, I wore mine twice and the toe of the shoe was already frayed. The insoles also crease when wet and come out of the shoe when wet and you try to take them off which is very annoying. I have to say that they are very beautiful bright colors. You could also use a slightly thicker outsole.

My husband had a stroke. He uses water shoes for showering to reduce the risk of falling. Water shoes are hard to find in the off season so we ordered these instead of his current ones. They worked great. The swelling on his feet made them a bit tight, but we were able to put them on without cutting holes in the sides like we did with his last pair of water boots. It was the right choice.
