This is the first time I've worn an "elastic" waistband. I wasn't sure what to expect from the description but this belt is great. It takes a bit of getting used to because when you normally pull the strap tight to close it, it doesn't stretch like it does here. The belt looks very high quality and I like that the other end of the buckle has a cap to make it easier to thread the belt through the loops. I'm pretty sure there isn't a piece of elastic or "stretch" on this belt. It flexes because it's braided, so there's a normal level of flex, but it's definitely advertised incorrectly.
