I rarely write reviews but the two goals I received are so terrible I just had to say something. First, both boxes were heavily taped indicating they had both been returned. When I opened it up, the inner packaging looked well put together so I wasn't overly concerned. Then I discovered that one of the extensions was completely incompatible with the Gate. There is no way to bring them together. Extremely disappointed.

I used this gate for my dog and secured it to the wall with brackets. The top bolt on the door in the gate was not connected to the latch. My dog was able to push the door open just enough to put his head in and got stuck in the opening. When I found him, he was struggling as he tried to free himself. If I hadn't been home to free him, he would have been seriously injured and possibly died. The gate is not safe.

This is the *only* product I've found that fits a 28.5 inch doorway with a baseboard underneath. Literally the ONLY one. From a functional point of view, this is a wonderful gate. But it's actually not high enough. I wish this was available as a tall gate. There is no gate as tall as this to fit the width of my doorway and I really need a taller gate than this. I was in despair when our bulldog figured out how to open the gate from below and the goldendoodle and golden retriever followed him like a prison break. Good solid construction. BUT. Frankly, the instructions are confusing. The instruction picture for the bracket/mount is different from the one in the box. When adding extensions, the holder (for the door frame, which is pressed to the floor so it doesn't move/bend back and forth) only has a hole on one side; there should be one on each side.
