Disappointing remote control for ceiling fan

We purchased this remote control for our ceiling fan based on our own experience a wish to have a convenient option for turning our fan on and off. However, we have found it to be frustratingly unreliable. Sometimes the remote doesn't work at all, and other times it takes multiple tries to get it to turn on. The only pro is that it does have an attractive design. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it for home and kitchen use.

Non-white and other brands work with fan animation fans. Buy something else!

White? Rather gray. In addition, according to Fanimation (written), it should work with our Fanimation fan, and simply pressing the button does not work. The electrician took over. I would return it if I hadn't already paid for it to be installed.
