Excellent WiFi Receiver for Ceiling Fans

After I put it to the test, I was pleasantly surprised by how easily this WiFi receiver integrated with my existing ceiling fan. The installation process was seamless and the app interface was user-friendly. The ability to control my fan from my smartphone has been a game-changer. The only downside is that it can only control one fan at a time. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade their ceiling fan's capabilities.

Pros
  • Allows for easy integration and control of Fanimation ceiling fans with smartphones and virtual assistants.
Cons
  • Requires a compatible Fanimation ceiling fan to use, limiting its compatibility with other brands or models.

Ultimate performance

Works with Alexa but only turns on and off, you cannot control the direction of the fan. Although the instructions say it will work with a 206 wall control, I couldn't get mine to work with it. Now my Alexa just toggles the controls on or off. A bit disappointing considering I have almost $1000 for a new Odyn fan and this upgraded control box.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Of course it integrates with IFFTT, which is now a paid service, and Google Home (don't even get me). The problem is that the developers decided to make this thing 100% cloud dependent. The fan control is programmed to call home over the internet to a cloud of sorts where you have to attach a phone app, meaning no local control. In…
