Description of ๐Ÿš— 6.5-inch 3-Piece Car Speaker Enhancement Kit by FAST Rings

FAST solves the problem of acoustically coupling aftermarket speakers to factory speaker openings. Itโ€™s a laser cut foam product with industrial-grade, peel away adhesive backing. Get all the sound you paid for! Increase mid bass & reduce panel vibration. The rings separate into three pieces. The first FAST Ring is a dedicated gasket for speaker mounting to the baffle plate surface. The second ring mounts around the outer edge of the speaker, just past the surround. The third circular foam pad goes behind the speaker to absorb unwanted reflections on hard surfaces, such as inside a car door. By using the 3-ring approach the kit improves the projection of the audio into the car cabin and reduces unwanted rear reflections that can degrade the sound. For use with coaxial or component aftermarket speaker systems from brands like Alpine, Sony, Kenwood, MTX Audio, Pioneer, JVC, Kicker, Skar, JBL, Infinity, Rockford, Cerwin Vega, PowerBass, JL Audio, Pyle, Polk, BOSS, DS18, and more.

Don't install without them! Yes .

Do not install without! Yes they are not cheap but they work very well. I installed them along with the Stereo Integrity TM65 mkII midbass drivers and it made a noticeable and measurable difference. Yes, measured difference. I did frequency response measurements before and after and overall the frequency response was smoother with the FAST rings.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • No automatic

Huge difference! good for loudspeakers

expensive, but worth the money. This makes a big (really HUGE!) difference in sound quality, especially in the mid-bass. I have two pairs of Pioneer TS-D1730C component speakers and once installed the stock speakers sound better than my new speakers. After some research I decided to try this stuff. I spent 3 hours removing, installing and reassembling the speakers and door panels but am very satisfied.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • a little change

You are important. just as!

I installed them in the door of my '04 GMC 2500HD Single Cab Long with new fairly inexpensive 6.5" components. The doors have been made a little more sound proof and these rings do about the same thing. that same rattling as the small 8" woofer behind the seat! Would highly recommend them as they can make cheap speakers sound good I can only imagine what they would do for a really good system!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The idea is good, but there will be no open-pore foam.

This is an open cell foam and water reservoir. Instead I would use a closed cell foam product. SoundSkins has a closed cell version and I think Stinger has it now too. The idea is good, only open-cell foam won't do you any good. They hold water (and therefore mold) and the sound travels straight through them into the door chamber. Closed-cell foam won't hold water (and mold) or let noise in through your doors.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to say

Easy installation for better sound

I installed it in a sedan. Before installation, the sound was frozen and you could safely listen to music through the door outside the car with the windows open. Traditional speaker boxes will not fit due to the up and down movement of the window. This foam kit allows the panel to be attached directly to the door, allowing the window to pass between the foam and the speaker when in the down position. The sound is now better with the built-in foam, regardless of whether the windows are in the up

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Volume

but the bass response is amazing. I bought it based on numerous forum posts.

Strong adhesive that stays put even after pulling to change position. I haven't tested my new speakers without them, but the bass is amazing. I bought these based on numerous posts on car audio forums. I recommend them for any mid-woofer setup - whether it's a $1,000 set like mine or cheap ones, they'll improve your mid-bass response in your doors. Be sure to seal the door cavity/speaker gasket as well as possible to get the maximum benefit.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Clever design

Not much different from Grand Prix 04-08

Good kit (though expensive for the price). It didn't do much at all with my car (Grand Prix 04), but it's more about the design. Grand Prix door speakers because they have a baffle for the door speakers, so it is difficult to install the inside of the speaker. The outside of the door had to be trimmed down to about 1/2 inch to reattach the door panel. The round door trim piece is decent, but again it makes little difference, and only when the window is up. I could see this kit being great forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Empty

Required for your installation picklist.

These are the quickest and easiest and I think I'm right about the cheapest mid-bass boost solution. I think you can get away with it, negligible noise reduction and near-pro results. Gear::Apline PDX-F6 on 4x Audison Voce K6.5 in a Chevy Cruze door. The doors are fully dampened with Second Skin Dampifier Pro and the door skins are heavily dampened as well. Phenomenal mid-bass. I think they should be on your pick list for door speaker installation. They build an open enclosure around theโ€ฆ
