💦 High-Performance DELTA FAUCET RP47201 MultiChoice Cartridge: One Size, Chrome Review

It's hard to find a high-end shower control. None of the big stores have it. The price was better than the commercial plumbing supplier.

After receiving my old one after several weeks of work, this one arrived and worked like a champ! Be sure to use plenty of silicone lube. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the cost and lack of design when it comes to distance.

My old Delta RP47201 cartridge cracked and this product was an exact replacement. Many places charge $300 or more. When I pulled out the old cartridge the black plastic liner was left in the tube, I had to soften it with a torch to get it out. After removing and cleaning the hose, the replacement cartridge went in and worked perfectly.

This is not an original Delta part. It appears in the Delta box but I believe the lasered name was matco. It works and I was in a bind so I kept it. On this, the temperature controller rotates 2 turns, on the triangle there is only one. This makes adjusting the temperature control a bit more difficult. Again, the clips you see in the images for the volume knob aren't a guessing game as to where to tighten the set screw. The temperature changes during the shower are intermittent, not smooth like

Delta product descriptions are confusing. I thought I needed this for my Cassidy trim kits as it said the valve was not included. Well, the valve is actually the body. This is "cartridge". And not even compatible with Cassidy. This is the 17 series, subtly, and this is the 17T series. Since the conversion takes time, I went to the installation and, lo and behold, it's the wrong cassette and Cassidy comes along. So I'm trying to return, but no, Revain has a 30 day return policy. give me a break…

The item received did not exactly match the picture but the model number was correct and it arrived in a Delta genuine parts box. The picture shows the cartridge has brass throughout to match the original part which I replaced. Unfortunately the one I received has nylon components and the dimples on the cartridge for the water on/off knob set screw have been replaced with a channel.
