Almost perfect replacement

I can only imagine that this is a 20-30 year old version of this item that is starting to crack. This one, metal with a metal loop, is exactly what you need. The angle isn't the same as the plastic version or the original version I had, but this one is very adjustable (with a screwdriver) while the plastic version couldn't be adjusted at all. Fits perfectly on my old Moen shower rod

I wasn't sure if the Delta U5002-PK would fit my Moen shower rod which dates back to the early 1980's. Luckily, the rotating delta connector fits the Moen pen perfectly, suggesting that shower pen sizes must have been somewhat standardized across manufacturers at the time. The hole in the Delta bracket that accepts the pin is approximately 1 cm in diameter, which is identical or nearly identical to the diameter of the Moen swivel that needs to be replaced. Better than the original

My original Delta mount ended up breaking and going to waste. When I received this replacement part I found that it was a massive improvement over the original: all chrome plated metal versus the old metal/plastic combination of the original. It fits perfectly in place of the original and I suspect it will easily outlive my home. twist it very much. But there are two ways to get around this: either don't over tighten (which I did) or put a drop of Locktite Blue on the threads of the bolts…
