Don't buy expensive cable railing tools

Great price. For cutting without purchasing a specialty cutter, use a metal cutting/grinding wheel on an angle grinder. About $3 per wheel at a big store. Mark a spot on the cable, wrap about 1 inch of tape around the mark, and then cut with a wheel. The tape will keep the cable from unraveling. I also used a 30" bolt cutter to clamp the stainless steel accessory to install the cable. No expensive additional tools required.

Pros
  • Decking and Railing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
