Currently I cannot close my right eye fully, this patch helps to keep it closed at night (with some gauze) as there is room under the patch for eye movement, both open and closed. This means it can be worn comfortably during waking hours for added protection or sensitivity to light, you will only be at a disadvantage with depth perception. I recently had tarsarraphism, a long term eyelid brace to protect my cornea from severe keratitis and allow corneal ulcers to heal. My eye doctor wants the stitches covered with a sterile eye patch for a period (2 to 4 months) while the tarsorrhaphy is in place. The problem is that the adhesive on the tapes - I've tried them all - is very hard on my skin. This 3D eye patch looked very large in the picture so I was wondering if it would be large enough to hold the sterile patch securely in place
