🔍 High-Performance Replacement Vacuum Filter: Febreze Bissell Style 8 & 14 Filter Review

I ordered this for my mum as she thought her vacuum cleaner was outdated and needed replacing. I also cleaned the other filter in her Bissell. This filter was cheap, fit well and arrived quickly. I was afraid the smell would be too sharp, but it's not overpowering at all. She was happy to hear that her vacuum cleaner was fine and that she was liking the way it worked again.

Finally got around to changing the filters on my vacuum cleaner, my undergraduate level has gone up and I'm very happy about it. It may just be a placebo effect, but the scent this filter leaves in your home is simply wonderful. You actually feel like you've cleaned something when you're done because you can smell the result. Must be purchased when replacing your filters.

I bought arm n hammer vacuum headphones. These didn't seem to fit as well as this one. They also had a gasket that was taped to the back of the filter so all the dirt and dust got stuck on that and not the filter. It's just a filter and it was pretty tight. The denser the better as no air can penetrate. It has the signature Febreze scent and fills the room with fragrance.

I read the reviews before ordering and they told me the filter was too big. That's right. I had to slide the filter in place. Parts of it get crushed, and when the vacuum kicks in, the pressure pushes the door aside. Otherwise I assume it works. I just hope that because the door is open the filter catches most of the lint, dirt, dander, etc. Despite the reviews, the ad says it's the right filter for my Bissel model.

I'm not sure what's going on, but the filter I received isn't the one in the picture, with a black part in the middle. That's what my vacuum had, I have a pet hair eraser so I never thought it wouldn't fit, but it's all white and VERY big! I don't know what to tell you to make sure it fits before you buy it. I have it in my bathroom as an air freshener, but it doesn't really work that well either. I'll try the doorstop next time.

Why the hell haven't I tried this before? Maybe because I didn't see them in store so I just bought the standard products online. Well, not anymore! That's great. It is very nice when after cleaning the whole room smells of freshness. I change all 3 filters in my vacuum about every 8 months as my bedroom only has carpet so they don't really require much work. However, this little filter is a nice value. Good product. I will not go back to normal.

So I bought it because we have one cat, two litters and one puppy; thought my house could use an air freshener whenever it could get one. It has a very strong smell and when I first used it it was quite overwhelming. My wife said she felt like she was crushed when she walked in after using it for the first time. It has calmed down a bit but still works very well and puts a fresh scent in the air. I would take it again, maybe open it up and let it air out before using it for the first time.

They work as advertised but the smell was so strong it burned my eyes and throat. The house smells of chemicals all day long after vacuuming or until we open the windows and air it out. I read other reviews saying the same thing but bought it anyway thinking I would appreciate the strong smell but it turned out to be just a pain. We removed them and replaced them with unscented filters a few weeks later when we realized the strong smell and burning sensation wouldn't go away.
