Poor soldering on USB3 connector

The obvious lack of solder on the connector as seen in the pictures. With such a bad connection, you should never have left the factory. The connector is also rigid, so you'll get weak intermittent connections as a result. The map runs under Linux.

USB Bootleg 2.0 is good for computer components

I installed FebSmart in my old X58 phone hoping we could use the Oculus Rift S VR headset. I'm sorry to say that it didn't work out in the end.

Not the best in computer components

Wouldn't work. When I started my computer for the first time after the installation, I got the error message "Please connect a power source to your graphics card and restart your computer". I removed my graphics card and used the built in HDMI port on the motherboard. I keep getting the same error it took me to power my graphics card. No card other than the FebSmart USB card has been installed. I deleted this map and no more errors. Everything worked fine. I contacted the seller and theyโ€ฆ

Dead on Arrival - Internals

It's nice to see a USB 3.0 card that doesn't require an external power connector. That's why I chose this card for use on an older system. However, the card was dead on arrival. I tried every available PCIe slot and the card was not recognized. Then I tried another system with the same results. Unfortunately I sent it back and bought a different brand card.

Installed - Booted - Working

Easy installation, the card used the available Windows 10 drivers for this card with no problems USB 3 external hard drive is now limited to hard drive write speed instead of USB, I've used the internal USB connector for the new faceplate reader and it works fine. --- would buy again ---

Good Product - I/O Cards

I bought this USB 3.0 extension to upgrade a fairly old motherboard on a Linux Mint computer. I have to say Linux is easy to set up. The card works perfectly and does not require any additional power.

About a month later Windows cannot recognize the card. Writes an unknown USB device. It worked when I first installed it. return for refund.

Great upgrade for Core 2 Duo Era SSF desktop.

The adapter board is well made and easy to install for anyone familiar with installing adapter boards on a PC. Adding this upgrade to the Core 2 Duo-era HP DC7900 SSF required replacing the mounting bracket with a flat mounting bracket (included) that was easily replaced with two screws. This change added 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back of the PC which had 8 USB 2.0 ports. The ports worked great for high-speed data transfer with USB 3.0 flash drives, which is what they're used for.
