I decided to review this small Feelworld 5 inch monitor that I recently bought. The F5 is one of many monitors in the Feelworld range. and as you can see its format is very similar to the very popular 5 inch SmallHD Focus monitor but this little guy will only cost you around $160 here at Revain compared to the SmallHD Focus monitor which is around $400 up to $425. I originally bought this for a Canon 5D and loved that I could get a dummy battery pack to power the monitor. Power consumption increases when you're powering the screen and camera at the same time, but with the 970's battery it's pretty tolerable. If I only use the monitor with my Sony FS700 I can use any 550 or 750 battery and it's fine. My favorite is to mount a large battery pack on the back of my shoulder mount and connect a monitor to the 12V socket to avoid loading the front of my mount.

This monitor is very light and well built. The case is made of plastic, but it's ok for me. I find the monitor useful for low and high angle shots and when I need a better view. If your camera does not have a focus peak, it will be added. There are other useful features as well. Two function keys are practical. The menu system is adequate and fairly easy to use. I've had my FEELWORLD F5 5 inch articulating model for exactly 4 months today and I can say it's a great video monitor. Sharp enough to focus without picking (I have 20/30). I can see a big difference in focus sharpness compared to my other 7 inch 1280x800 monitor. This monitor has two preset settings so you don't have to go into the menu. An update: It would be nice if there was a setting to automatically rotate the screen when you need to flip it. So when you flip it, everything is upside down. Otherwise you will have to physically reverse the entire mount. Definitely not a Dael Breaker, but a convenience. I thought I found the setting in settings but it didn't do anything.
