I use this to connect my mouse to a USB-C port when using other USB ports. For this application it was good. I also tried connecting a USB stick to my Android phone and it works for that. Physically, I prefer two ports on a short cable over a hard adapter without a cable because there is less stress on the mating USB-C port and the short braided cable is flexible and attaches well to the ports. The plugs are of good quality.

UPDATE: After a few months the adapter has failed. The pins and plastic inside the USB-C connector are pushed back into the connector's body. It does not work anymore.
