    Do not buy! You will damage your radio.

    This is rubbish! They will blow up your radio. Luckily I checked my coax for shorts before turning it on. The split inner conductor expands when a coaxial cable is connected. If they don't close, there's simply no connection.

    the best way I know to ground the antenna power wire.

    Best method I know of for grounding the antenna power cable to the copper plate on the ground rod. Failure to do this can allow static electricity to return to your "device" on incorrect radio frequencies.

    PL259 has not fully occurred.

    Well made product but the stem in the middle didn't let my old PL-259 in all the way. If you're using pre-made cables with crimps on the PL-259, that might be fine. However, I will find a use for them.
