DON'T WORRY! The lamp is just cheap plastic and doesn't work!

These lamps are pure ROCK! I took a risk and of course the lamp is what is described in the negative reviews. I have 2 of these that I cannot return. Comes in a clear plastic box that will cut your finger off in seconds. Requires 3 AA batteries, NOT AAA as the spec says, BUT the battery compartment is so poorly made that the batteries don't fit and fall out as the lid won't close. There is not enough space in the compartment even for batteries. At the heart, a cheap silver plastic. The fibers…

Fiber optic night light, color changing

I almost canceled this order after reading a review about the product that didn't work at all. I'm very glad that I couldn't cancel and was hoping that when it arrived it would work. It is absolutely beautiful and my 4 and 2 year old boys LOVE it and love it. It needs batteries but I prefer it because it can be placed anywhere in the room. The fiber rod detaches from the stand very easily so they want to play with it and the strings can bend so I pick it up once a day as we use it as a night…

Will buy more.: Fiber optic lights

My 5 year old nephew has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and loves it! He is a very active child and a little talker. who can become restless and agitated. But as soon as we turn it on, it settles down and falls silent. He finds it very calming and it relaxes him. He easily turns it on himself to, he says, improve his mood. :) He loves to run his fingers over it and loves to change colors. It runs on batteries, but we haven't had to change them yet. They've been there for a month now and he…

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND SO PEACE ON

Nice colors and a handy button under the base to set all the same color or constantly change multiple colors but I wish there was a little button on the side of the base instead of the bottom for when I have used this fiber optic lamp in a completely dark room. At Christmas my stage consists of electric candles paired with these Fiber Optic Glacier Lites. Sometimes when it's time for bed I don't want to turn on the bright light after my eyes get used to the meditative light, so it's sometimes…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Expensive

I was wrong. I tried again and the battery compartment popped open. So my mistake! I have a spare lamp and I want to decide which one offers the best color rendering. The advantage of this is that the "crystals" represent a beautiful lighting on the base and an additional function. I will be returning this lamp even though it is NOT DEFECTIVE! A replacement bulb that doesn't have a pretty "crystal" base is my only choice because the fiber gives a better light than the original 1970's bulbs…

Absolutely not a 'Winchester' product previously on this list

I previously bought 'this' lamp on this list when it had white plastic at the bottom of the base with a button instead of one had switched and used AA batteries instead of AAA and had the nicest lighting options. You could press a button and it had options: 3 fixed colors, 4 multicolored settings (all constant, not changing) and 1 setting that changed colors on its own over time. So beautiful. I have 2 of this version and 1 of them has recently stopped working, even with the freshest batteries.

Fortress of Solitude

My perfect makeshift computer desk is created by simply placing a 4-foot laminate shelf on the padded arms of my lounge chair. The height of the shelf easily frees my knees and legs. Literally next to my laptop is this beautiful lamp. Sitting in my armchair at 3am in the dark listening to i-Tunes radio through a good pair of stereo headphones, the lamp gives off a soft and comfortable light that calms me and enhances the memories evoked by the music. There's no whirring, power-hungry engine to…

The youth loves this light.

Let me first say that it was very economical and I am very satisfied with the product. Very relaxing, the colors change and the base has stone-like crystals that also react to light. It's a fun night light, party light, or whatever you want to use. The changing colors are so unique and mesmerizing. I bought this for a friend who uses it while working on the computer late at night. It works well and doesn't bother anyone in the house. Since it runs on batteries I would suggest keeping a supply…
