Fiebing's Leather Balm with Atom Wax 32oz - Superior Wax Top Finish for Leather Care Review

This is my product as the last step in my projects. It gives a nice professional shine, is pleasant to the touch and is very easy to apply.

Works great with all my leather projects. Softens leather and adds a polished, waxy finish for a beautiful shine. A little counts for a lot. Note: This does not increase water resistance.

Observation: Less viscous than I expected, more like whole milk than a creamy texture. It dries to a sticky, dull film that requires an elbow to buff. Effort is required to bring the finish to the desired shine and smoothness. Ideal for multi-layer, stackable, classic hard wax finishes. I used it on a worn but very stretchy chrome-tanned lady's handbag and had to make an alarming effort to polish it. I'm still learning and experimenting but I've converted two of my three saddles so far and it's amazing! These are ranch saddles that have seen all and a lot of it, many, many years of hard use, not abuse. Obviously a good clean is required, I like Fiebing's Saddle Soap soap and water, yes it requires a little grease and a shake or three but then dry and apply that leather balm and then buff.
