Bags too small for any but the smallest fruit trees

Even at 72” by 84”, these bags are much too small because they are flat rectangles. Trees don’t grow in two dimensions. I’ve got 2 "columnar” apple trees that are about 3’ in diameter and 8’ in some spots, and these bags were just too tight. I even pruned off the tallest branches and a few that stuck out too much, but the bag was a tight squeeze, knocked apples off branches, and was 2’ too short to get a snug fit around the base. I’ve ordered extra lengths of netting to wrap the base of the…

Pros
  • Used to prevent birds from eating our blue berries when we were away! Worked great!
Cons
  • My bag is 67"x 72". Not the size I bought which the seller said is a 72"x84" bag. It is unusable for me.

Worked great! - my new review

I put it over half of my blueberry bush so I could share berries with the birds. It was super easy to slip this over the bush. There were multiple branches on the bottom that left some gaps so I used chip clips to close any gaps. I didn't want any birds getting in. One year a bird died when I tried this so I didn't want that to happen again. It worked like a charm and I was able to pick fresh berries every day. My best year.

Pros
  • Plant Support Structures
Cons
  • It may be difficult to install and remove the netting for maintenance and harvesting, especially if you have large fruit trees

Seems to be working fine.

I had received a new Redbox tree for Mother's Day. Then right after it was planted, I was told of the dangers of the Cicadas to young trees. I was happy to get this netting in time to protect them from them.

Pros
  • These worked great to keep the cicadas off our cherry bushes
Cons
  • The drawstring may not be strong enough to withstand harsh winds and may come loose, allowing bugs to enter the garden area

You Can Tie This Down With a Drawstring At The Bottom

The birds WILL NOT be getting my grapes this year! This is very handy for keeping birds away from your fruit trees and grape vines. The tie-drawstring at the bottom can be pulled tight so NO VARMINT gets inside to your fruit!

Pros
  • Gardening & Lawn Care
Cons
  • The netting may block out too much sunlight, which can hinder the growth and development of plants
