Description of Finest Filters Compatible Filter Internal Filters Fish & Aquatic Pets in Aquarium Pumps & Filters

Finest-Filters compatible replacement foam filter pads are made from the same material as the Fluval origionals. These filter pads are cut to fit the Fluval U3 range of internal filters. The pads measure 195 x 60 x13mm. These sponges contain the boilogical cultures, biologically and mechanically filtering the aquarium water. This is not a Fluval Product. This is a Finest-Filters alternative which serves the same purpose as the origional brand.

Subpar internal filter for fish tanks

According to my experience, this filter falls short in both efficiency and durability. The flow rate is weak and the filter media clogs easily .On the positive side the installation process was straightforward. However, the cons outweigh the one pro, and I would not recommend this filter for any aquarium setup..

Pros
  • High-quality filters that are compatible with a variety of internal filters.
Cons
  • Requires regular replacement to maintain optimal filtration, which can add to long-term costs.

Cheap plastic with a BAD chemical smell

I was going to use this in my 20 gallon aquarium but when I opened the package I noticed a very strong chemical smell coming from the foam. No branded filter media I have used in my aquariums has NEVER smelled like this. It persisted even after rinsing (I even tried vinegar solution!) so I decided to throw it away. No amount of savings could bring me to expose my fish and plants to what was inside that sketchy plastic. Attention aquarists!

Pros
  • Fish and aquatic animals
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
