Finish Line Bicycle Cleaner Lubricant Review

When used as a chain lube I have found this product to drip a lot more than any other lube I have used. Other lubricants stick to the chain more tightly, but as a cleaner, they leave greasy stains all over the floor. Finally, while I was getting my bike ready in the driveway, I had to go out and buy concrete cleaner. If you don't want to do this cleaning, try something else.

I ride mountain bikes and road bikes. I drive many kilometers. This stuff works well on my road bike with limited exposure to dirt and dust. What can't you say about my mountain bike. Usually after two 20.6 mile rides each of my chains needs more lube. I like how it works, but wish it lasted longer between uses. I can't say I would buy it again. I'm glad I tried it, but I only recommend it for driving on concrete and tarmac.

I use my bike for my daily commute, whatever the weather. Winters are particularly harsh on a bike with ice, water, chemicals, mud and salt. I use White Lightning Wash & Shine to clean the bike including the chain (the amount of dirt it picks up in winter is terrible) and then use this lube. I have a Kryptonite NY standard U-lock that was starting to jam so I put a few drops of it on the braces and now it opens and closes like it's brand new.

I like the product but the nozzle sprays A LOT of product. Much more than a comparable can of WD-40. It's such a waste, especially if you're trying to use it on a bike chain. This floods the chain. And as others have pointed out, removing the cap is almost impossible. So you either don't use it or try to snip off the plastic lid a bit with a razor blade so it doesn't snag the jar as much. The liquid inside is great, the delivery system sucks.

Attention buyers. The lid is protected from children and in this case from adults. In the end it's my fault BUT since the instructions are on the cap inside the cap and not the sticker (how cheap would that be?) I broke the atomizer neck so I had to remove the chain. This accident defeats the entire purpose of this particular product. I don't know if this is a good product yet, I will update later. In summary, removing the hard cap is not easy if you press first.

Like most lubes/cleaners, it does both well, but it's not perfect. Soaking in a special detergent. If you are good at service, this is the perfect product. Spray and brush quickly every 50-60 miles. And it will keep things in perfect condition. After a good cleaning there was a noticeable improvement in resistance, noise and switching behavior. For the record, like any "wet" lube, there's going to be a mess when you're in a machine.

I drive about 300 miles a month. I don't usually believe in a one step system, especially when you combine two opposing functions (degreasing and lubricating). fill with Simple Green liquid degreaser and apply Rock n Roll lube. But after my usual degreasing routine, I decided to try this one-step cleaner to see how well it works. And oh my god it picked up all the remaining dirt but the chain scrubber didn't. And when combined with a straw, it acts like a jet of water, blowing away all the dirt
