Great light for nano aquariums!

Wonderful light used on my 5.5 gallon low tech low light tank. It has not yet caused any hair, black brushes or other algae in the 7-hour recording time. The gap on the clip on the light needs to be increased by about 1/2" to accommodate the tank with the rim, but it still works, just not as securely as I would like. The neck is relatively stiff and can bend the rim of my tank if I don't steady it with one hand while moving the light. I would buy it again for future nano aquariums.

Powerful little flashlight with 660 true red LEDs

Having used the Finnex Planted+ clip light in a 10 gallon aquarium for a year I am very pleased with the intensity and quality of the light. Plants grow great with this light (I also add fertilizer occasionally and get great results). I liked the light so much I bought a second one for an 8 gallon cube and Planted+ 24/7 for another 10 gallons. I'm a big fan of Finnex but prefer the original Planted+ with true 660 red LEDs. Let's hope Finnex has an updated version of the original Planted+ with…

Great nano tank flashlight or hideaway flashlight

This flashlight is very well made and very light. I've been using it for a few months on a Penn Plax 7.5G Radius rimless tank with an eco-friendly substrate and a Finnex PX-360 canister filter. Simply put, this is an amazing setup with minimal maintenance. This light is VERY bright for its size, but the 7.5 GI I'm using it on is probably the max aquarium size. I would recommend this 10 inch light clip for good plant growth. I have Bacopa Monnerai, Anubius Nana Petit, Anubius Nana, Crypt Wendtii

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great lights, not very large power supplies.

I'm a big fan of Finnex flashlights. I use them on all my aquariums, from 120 gallon to 5 gallon. They seem to use the highest quality LEDs and my planted aquariums thrive on their lighting. My only issue with Finnex is that they invest so much in the quality of their LEDs that they skimp on power supplies. After a year or two, they seem to blink rapidly, dim terribly, or stop working at all. Fortunately, power supplies are cheap and easy to replace (if you only know the basic wiring). For this

Best Nano Aquascaping LED

In case anyone is wondering if this light will grow your medium light 5g plants. Look no further! I can't even explain how happy I am with this LED. It makes my plants pearly even with CO2. Every plant in the photos is thriving! (Banana Plant, Revain Sword Compact, Penny Wort, Anubias Nana, Dwarf Sag, and Duckweed.) Algae will grow if left for a long time. Although I use a 12 hour timer and haven't had an algae problem yet. The light warms up a little but never warms up. The gooseneck is highly

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Nice looking and compact betta aquarium

I have a rimless glass cube aquarium that is about 12 inches all around. I decided to give it a try because I liked the fact that it's not big and black - it reminds me of a MacBook Pro with a brushed aluminum finish. The clip is only about 3 inches wide which means there is still room for the aquarium heater and air filter line. The clip is also laterally offset, so that all lines leading into the aquarium are in the same maskable area. with decor in front. There are 2 lighting modes: daylight

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No performance

Very nice plant lamp

I like this lamp very much. I use the larger Finnex 24/7 CC lights in my 55 gallon planter so I decided to buy their clip on light for my Marineland 5 gallon Portrait tank. It replaced the tiny/dim original LED that came with the kit. The aquarium gets indirect sunlight but I've still noticed more plant growth since I added Finnex a week ago. It provides good lighting for a small aquarium and a much better light spectrum for plants than most small clip-on lights. I add dry fertilizer and excel…

Time will tell in Fish & Aquatic Pets

I just got my light and it really works. The delivery was super fast. Received the next day after ordering. However, I didn't understand that they ship this without a box? Came in normal packaging with lots of stickers. There are no instructions either. I was afraid it might break in shipping, but luckily that didn't happen. First impressions? It looks super cheap. The lens that covers and protects the LEDs is just a piece of very thin plastic that moves. So I would definitely use a cover with…

Excellent light, I would have liked more guarantees.

Short review:+Pros*Decent light output. I would say the light is good for medium light plants. *Good colour, *Fully adjustable neck *Good build/feel - Cons *Mounting bracket has a large edge into the aquarium (there may be gaping issues when using a full cap) *Noticeable heat output from control box *180 day warranty is shorter, than some competitors with similar performance. I chose the Finnex device as I suspected it could be better for plant growth and it came with the additional adjustment…
