The truck now pulls like a 3/4 ton and takes a toy dump truck with it.

Installed on my 2014 Sierra Denali to make it easier to tow a 30 foot Work n Play toy dump truck. Made a big difference. Swap out the factory 20-inch Goodyear tires for a set of 10-ply tires and swap out the rear shocks for a Bilstein 5100 set to complete the package. The truck now pulls like a 3/4 ton and handles a toy dump truck with ease. Recommend the Firestones set if you're pulling anything over 20 feet or working with a 600+ pound drawbar. I wish I had an onboard compressor for…

Okay, but check the topics before you start.

Works great overall. I spent too much time installing, dismantling and then reinstalling the bolts as the nuts could not be fully threaded onto the bolts due to production waste. So much so that I couldn't unscrew the screws and had to cut them off with a saber saw. Bought new screws from Home Depot. So before installation, please check if everything is ok. The rest of the system itself is great. Easily inflated to 20psi with a bike pump (didn't try again). Note: At a minimum pressure of 5psi…

Easy/Peasy - Shocks, Struts & Suspension

Although installation isn't as easy as I had hoped (easier if you remove the rear tires) it was a breeze and worked on our Silverado at the Excellently towed a trailer 1500 miles in snow, mud and high winds. The first thing I did was document the height of the hitch pocket floor from the ground with no air spring installed and no downward force on the trailer ball. I then cut a piece of plastic PVC tubing that length. With my weight on the ball, I simply add air to the air rides until the PVC…

Easy do-it-yourself installation and a must for larger workloads

Took a few hours to install. I routed the hoses to the rear license plate brackets and covered the valve stems with black caps. There was a slow leak on the right side which caused a rattle as the mount was allowed to move too freely so I had to reattach the air hoses. It's been a few months and they're holding 5psi with no problem. Overall they are great for leveling a truck when towing or hauling. When not in use they lift my butt up a bit as the instructions say to keep them slightly…

2018 GMC 1500 Crew Cab w/ Bag

Fits a standard 2018 GMC 1500 SLT Crew Cab VAN. So the third set of these Firestone airbags I've installed are almost familiar with the routine. It's been at least a month but I think it will take around 3-4 hours to install as I'm slow and a little compulsive. It took me the most time to figure out which hex bolt was holding the existing rubber spring bumpers in place. The small bolt access hole does not allow the socket to be inserted into the hole very easily and ended up being much smaller…

Installation took 1.5 hours. It is absolute.

It took 1.5 hours to install. Be sure to watch the installation video during installation. I had a video on an iPad right next to me in the garage. I also used a "T-Splitter" because I wanted to inflate the shocks with just one stem. You can purchase this as an accessory. I also bought a pipe cutter. Another helpful tip is to measure the height from the ground to the top of the wheel arch to get a baseline. Then, once your load is applied, pump up the shocks to bring the load level back to your

Good article: Air Suspension Kits

I installed mine with a Viair supercharger. Your system worked fine. I have two problems with this set: 1) Firestone needs more detailed instructions. Yes, I figured it out myself, but a good guide would have saved me an hour repeating a page. In particular, there is no mention of what to do with the bottom screw and the two holes for it. The diagram only applies to the driver's side and does not indicate whether or not a different hole should be used for the passenger's side. I've found that…

**READ, this may save you installation time***

I installed them on my 2014-02-18 Silverado and it took 2 days. I won't say I'm an experienced mechanic, but I used to restore several engines and was an army aircraft mechanic. I believe there are several reasons why it took me almost 2 days to install it. Firstly because the instructions are a bit confusing. I had to call Firestone and wait 15 minutes because the picture of what I got from Revain and all the videos I found showed different assembly parts. They were changing the way bags were…
