Review on 🔥 Black Firestone W21-760-2430 Ride Rite Air Spring System by Huntsville Rawson

**READ, this may save you installation time***

I installed them on my 2014-02-18 Silverado and it took 2 days. I won't say I'm an experienced mechanic, but I used to restore several engines and was an army aircraft mechanic. I believe there are several reasons why it took me almost 2 days to install it. Firstly because the instructions are a bit confusing. I had to call Firestone and wait 15 minutes because the picture of what I got from Revain and all the videos I found showed different assembly parts. They were changing the way bags were attached and so I was stuck trying to figure out how to dress them up. Second, when I spoke to Firestone Technical Support, the guy told me to lift the truck by the axle, not the frame, because the bags wouldn't fit if the axle was hanging down. It's true that they won't fit if you jack up the frame, but if you jack up the axle you can't remove the jounce bumpers because you can't insert the socket into the bumper hole to remove it. So if you buy them, make sure you jack up your truck at the frame first, remove the bumpers, and then jack it up at the axle. I opted for 4 jack posts, two on the frame and two on the axle to keep the axle a little further apart than it would be to allow me room to squeeze the airbags into the space provided. They give you a heat shield for the passenger side of the truck, but they don't mention it anywhere in their instructions and that part isn't shown in any of the pictures. It is only listed in the BOM. So first you have to find out what it is and then find a video of someone wearing it. It's not difficult, but it would be nice if they told you what it is and where it went. I had to remove the passenger bag and reinstall it with the heat shield. If you have a 2014 Silverado 1500, the jounce bumper comes off with a 10mm bushing. It took some time to figure out what size screw it was. It might be the same in other years, so you can start with 10mm and see if that works. I like the airbags and they seem to be well made. My brother has some on his Dodge and they work great so I expect they do what they are advertised to do. Finally, in case you decide to install your airbags without compressor and with T so that both inflate at the same time. and leveled, I make the following suggestion: I put the air valve on top through the hole at the bottom of the hole in the bed rail on the rear passenger side and screw it into the bed through the hole. I put a piece of fuel line on top of the hose, put on a clamp and tightened it enough that I could move it but with some friction. I then ran the line down through the hole until it protected the pipe where it passes through the hole at the bottom of the rail hole. The clamp keeps it from lowering any further, and a little friction keeps it from moving up. I placed thumb washers on either side of the air valve and tightened them with the nut provided. So I don't have to kneel to adjust the pressure. I only regulate the pressure when hiking, so I have a compressor with me. I think they're worth buying, but be prepared for the project if you're going to install it yourself. I've added some photos of the heat shield so you can see. how it is installed. Hope that helps.
