just received. The mat is double-sided (grey on one side, white on the other) with measuring lines on both sides. The rotary cutter did a great job with thin suede detailing. There are no marks on the cutting mat. I hope that later I can replace the blade with one made of titanium. I think that applying too much pressure to the cutter can speed up the damage to the mat, so I only use a sharp blade. The ruler is great.
