Not as advertised: Body and Fairing

This was advertised for my 2006 Yukon Denali with Heater, Power, Electric Fold, Turn Signals, Puddle Light and Photo Sensitivity. It doesn't work with my car, lacks puddle lighting and light sensitivity option. A NOTICE. I did not install this part, my rating is based on a visual comparison of a factory part removed from the car with this part that I received.

Almost perfect, but no. Excellent purchase.

Overall this does the job and is an inexpensive way to replace the broken glass on your mirror. It didn't sit flat on my side mirror mount, which slightly distorted the reflection. Maybe it's just me, or maybe not the ideal attitude. Given the price and speed of delivery, this is a strong 4 stars. It would be better if it was set flatter or if it was flatter and mine is offset a bit. Happy as is.

Cons
  • No Power

Fits and works!

Very easy to install as I had to replace it before (novice driver). However, the price for this new one was the same as I paid for a used one from the junkyard that already has parts. This one matched the other and was the color of my truck. That would be 5 stars, but my function doesn't work where I can fold mirrors. If I close the new one manually, then the other side works as it should. This is a feature I was spoiled for. However, I needed a side mirror and it does the job.

This is NOT a towing mirror

I bought this to replace a broken side mirror on my 2003 GMC 2500HD. It arrived quickly and in good condition. The problem is that it's a convex mirror. You know that "objects in the mirror are closer than they appear". It doesn't stretch either. I knew it didn't expand, but I didn't know it was convex. I can't tell the distance from one. TERRIBLE for the support. This is a good mirror with heating, electricity and hand signals. But this is NOT for towing. I didn't return it because I had to…

No puddle lighting. Suitable for body and interior trim

Full disclosure. I have never written a review before. After taking the time to install this full performance passenger side mirror on Saturday, I was very happy to receive it in the morning. Too bad it didn't have the "puddle light" feature that's supposed to be in the product details. There is a notch on the underside of the mirror where it should go, but nothing else. I considered cutting it to try and get something to work, but realized there would be no wiring for it. Don't assume at this…

Pros
  • Outside mirror
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
