Quality mirror, motors/signals work as expected but unfortunately the colored plastic cover is not interchangeable with the original and the whole original mirror does not fit the mounting part of it as hoped

Got this for my 2009 Scion xB. With the paint I had to source for it ($20 for primer and paint), it was still incredibly cheap compared to what a pro would charge. I had to remove the door (which was NOT in the YouTube video I found) but it wasn't that difficult to install and reassemble. I'm not mechanical at all and it took a few hours to install but it works great.

As other reviewers have noted, it's easy to install. Note that the inner door panel must be removed to access all the screws. Aside from the paintwork on the rear, everything else was done straight. However, the electrical windage adjustment failed after 6 weeks. Up and down still works. Second, while the passenger OEM mirror is rock solid, the glass (not the mirror housing) vibrates. Bought for a Japanese version of the Scion Xb called the Toyota Rumion which is of course right hand drive. The part is almost the same as the one I replaced it with. The only problem is that it's designed for the driver's side mirror, so the angle of the passenger's side mirror isn't quite right. I gave it four stars because it was easy to install and worked great, but I couldn't fit the white cover, covers are not interchangeable with Toyota genuine parts. If you need to replace the mirror with a black cap this works great as the cap is included and the price is great. Unfortunately I have a white car with a white top. Fits and works just like the original! The outside of the mirror assembly comes separate from the rest so you can paint it to match your car, but it's semi-flat black plastic. from the box. I ended up just putting mine on as I have a black XB and function was more important than the mirror just being a different tint than the paint. I would give it 5 stars if the back was OEM compatible. The reason I bought it is some fucker hit our mirror when I was parking in the alley and broke the bracket that holds the mirror to the motor. The original back was fine. The white original cover does not fit this item. It comes with a back that is not painted black. Just ran to the Autozone to get the right color and paint before installation. That's why I deducted a star because of the return and additional costs plus money for the color
