Great upgrade for fitness techs

I really like this Fitbit - it's my third. Slightly wider than my Alta but not as chunky. I have the all black design and have been wearing it all day every day for a week. The dial with hands (my choice) is much easier to read than squinting at the digital display. I love that I can see my steps and heart rate without having to switch screens. I like that I can see who's texting me - a personal choice if call notifications aren't turned on. Overall very impressed!

Nice update but NO option to show DATE

I never write reviews but thought it would be nice to rate them. Now I have Fitbit HR/Charge every 3 hours. So far this seems like a good improvement. The touchscreen is easy to use and simpler than a button to control everything on the last two models. One big omission is that the 5 faces it starts with does NOT include a date dial like the Charge 2. I use the date all the time and now reluctantly have to grab my phone to check the date. Fitbit, if you're listening, please update this watch…

Very disappointed. in training and fitness

Very disappointed. If you want to see the date on your watch, don't buy this version. If you're happy with your Charge 2 watch face, don't buy this version. what can i see Disgustingly formatted clock and my heart rate. I can't even choose what to watch in the previous version. The only way to see my steps on the main screen is to see the real watch face and then small steps. I've been a Fitbit customer for a long time, but this one is making a comeback. I guess I'll stick with my Charge 2…

too fragile for everyday use

I set it up and it was a good start - tracking steps, stairs, elliptical, sleep patterns, heart rate. It was easy to switch out the straps for the larger ones in the box. Notifications required swiping and you had to wait for the first one to enable future ones for that app. Slight Learning Curve – There is a slight delay in the app before motion and sleep show up in the app. It also seems like it only wants to pair with 1 device, so after pairing with my phone I can run the app on my tablet…

It just shouldn't be that hard, folks.

The device does not synchronize on command. You need to restart your device or phone regularly for it to recognize the watch again. The dials are lame and no longer show the date. I don't need my pulse on the windscreen. There's no other possibility. Half of the stats are dimmer than the others (and before you ask, yes I've tried both auto and manual brightness) and hard to see. The screen freezes regularly and does not respond to touches. The workout timer stops mid-workout due to an overly…

Do not buy. Still

On paper, the Charge 3 has everything I could hope for in a fitness tracker. Heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis and, oh yes, waterproof! A feature that would allow me to use this potentially amazing technology for lap swimming and outdoor sports in rain and snow. I was excited. that's how it was until I received it and put it on my wrist. So: - randomly turns off (4 times I had to do a hard reset) - randomly asynchronous - inaccurate step count - battery indicator not accurate - shaky heart…

Nice update with Alta

I've been using Alta for a few years and decided it was time for an upgrade. I waited to see what would happen with Fitbit before moving on to anything else. I'm not a big fan of smartwatches, so I wasn't interested in full-featured Fitbit products. When I saw the Charge 3 released, I thought about it. Being from Alta I was a bit worried about the size. It wasn't a problem. It's bigger, of course, but sits well on the wrist and isn't heavy at all. I had no problems with the comfort. However, I…
