Great shoes! in my rating

For my seventh pair of shoes in two years, I try to find something comfortable. I love the effect of the pro! wanted to get some more kicks over the mids, they are amazing! Even more comfortable, more supportive! But souls seem different, still very tough pedals. Much quieter walking, a little softer. Incredible shoes, I'll be buying a few more pairs.

Pros
  • COMFORTABLE FIT: These shoes are designed for a comfortable fit. They have a padded tongue and collar and a padded insole for maximum comfort while cycling.
Cons
  • Susceptible to wear after heavy use

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very few alternatives

Pros: They have the proven grippy Five Ten outsole - great if not using cleats, keeps my feet warm at 20F for over an hour. Very water repellent. Good sized loop behind the ankle helps with tightening. Cons: bulky, heavy, stiff - they're bigger than cycling shoes. Bottom line: if the 5-10 had made them lighter and more flexible from the arch and added removable nylon gaiters for days in deep powder, they would have won! For the bootless crowd, there aren't many true cold-weather alternatives.

Pros
  • Sizing has changed since adidas… need half a size down now!
Cons
  • Non-breathable material that leads to odor formation

Definitely Miss Senior (Real Version Five Ten)

The old version was much better and had more protection. And much more durable. Five Ten has always been my MTB shoe but I may try other brands. Fake of the original which is not so good.

Pros
  • The Five Ten Impact Pro Mountain Bike Shoes are made from a durable synthetic material that stands up to the rigors of mountain biking. It is also water-resistant, keeping your feet dry and comfortable at all times.
Cons
  • Bulky design making it difficult to carry or store

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love the ankle protection

Yes, they're half a size smaller than my Freeriders, but that's no surprise - Freeriders are the same. The size is over half a size. From the comments here it seems pretty general. The stiffness takes a little getting used to - the first walk around the house reminded me of my old Galibier Super Guides. These boots take a lot of getting used to, but once broken in I'm very happy that my ankles are no longer banging on my cranks and pedals. They stick to my Crankbrothers Stamp 1 as well as my…

Pros
  • The black color and stylish design of these shoes make them a great addition to any mountain biker's wardrobe. They look great both on and off the bike.
Cons
  • Due to the special design, uncomfortable to wear when not riding a bike

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I increased the size by 1/2 and am glad I did.

I have several pairs of 5 dozen. All a size 9 and I'll admit they're a bit tight when new. They were perfect from day one. The photo is the reason I got them. I ordered them the next day. I'll never hurt my ankle again because crazy people beat me up!

Pros
  • Ideal for all day cycling. Not waterproof but water repellent. Buy better laces, the ones that come with them are too thin.
Cons
  • I usually wear 10.5. I ordered 10.5 - they were a bit too small. Well I ordered 11 - it feels less than 10.5. WTF

What grip?! - my new rating

Pros: 1. LOTS of traction, I don't know what the stealth rubber outsole is hiding in but it's no traction, traction/stickiness no doubt, serious traction (more on that in the cons). 2. The shoes are like a tank, they are well constructed with high quality materials. Toe and heel protection is evident, Poron material on the front and heel feels strong and durable.3. Elastic loop for tucking in the laces, nobody wants the laces to get caught in the grip4. Dries quickly, needs no explanation5…

Pros
  • It's already at the top, maybe after a while the shoes will fit the foot.
Cons
  • Too narrow. They have a huge amount of padding around the ankle. looks stupid

He works small and too hard

The shoes are really hard. I ordered 0.5 more than I normally wear so I would buy a size up. It barely fits because the padding is thick. It is uncomfortable to walk and I feel tingling in my toes. The photos show my foot vs shoes and my old shoe size vs 510. I would like to exchange but I need to return, wait for a refund and then buy again. Ok cool, but now the price has gone from $88 to $129.99.

Pros
  • breathing
Cons
  • Break-in period required, causing initial discomfort

It's not five ten anymore

Five Ten was a great company until Nike bought them. Now they are rigid, cheap and uncomfortable. Another classic buyout of a company just for profit. Very disappointing for what was once a great shoe.

Pros
  • Versatility: These shoes are not only suitable for mountain biking, but also for other outdoor activities such as hiking or trail running. So you can get the best out of them all year round.
Cons
  • Not suitable for casual or casual wear

Revainrating 5 out of 5

feel protected

I bought these after a bad accident where my foot was caught between the pedal and a large root at high speed. Luckily I didn't break anything, but it took a long time for my toes and metatarsal bones to be bruised and healed. Previous 510s were more comfortable and had better pedal feel, but I feel a lot better on them going downhill, especially after a few rides where the soles sagged a bit. There were no pedal slips on several full days in the bike park. I ride them with OneUp platforms on a

Pros
  • The shoe has a unique shockproof outsole that absorbs shock and vibration. This reduces fatigue and increases overall comfort on the bike.
Cons
  • Limited sizes available making it difficult to find the perfect fit.

Sturdy shoe, lighter than expected.

Was looking for a quality pair of mountain bike shoes and during the winter on the road the average height was perfect. Was also looking for the protection around the ankles this shoe offers. I've only used them 3 times so I can't speak for long term use. The only thing I have are the laces, which aren't very good, but if they bother me enough... I'll change them, no big deal.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Interval

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Ugly and uncomfortable

They were shorter than all my other Adidas sneakers, so I recommend going up half a size. Also, they felt like bricks on my feet. That gives little. I understand that the sole is intentionally stiffer for flat mountain bike pedals, but even the upper was very hard and uncomfortable. I can't imagine they could be ridden very long, even if the length were better. I can't believe it's 160 bones. I wouldn't pay £60 for a pair that fit and look terrible in person.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

5/10 Impact Pro Mid, 5 star shoe, zero star seller

Great shoe, 5 stars. It's very stiff so if you have a wider foot you can go 1/2 size bigger. Because of the stiffness, the feel of the pedals underneath was gone. I spent several hours getting used to them. They are tough and I expect them to last a long time. Zero stars for the seller. Average rating 2.5 stars. The photos are the "new" shoes I received. If they were advertised as 'used' shoes I would accept them. Recommend the seller to check the item before shipping. Many thanks to Revain for

Cons
  • Difficult to say

I think I made the right choice.

I liked everything about these shoes. Size true to size, light and comfortable. Today I went for a walk in my new shoes for the first time. I am very happy with them so far. I can't believe how they stick to the flat pedals I use. I think the screws actually get stuck between the gaps in the tread of the shoe. I used to ride in Keen and the pedals blew the bottom out of them. I also kept falling off the pedals. I rode about 32 miles today and my legs felt great. The only downside is the price…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I don't remember

Runs small best when cycling

I have 2 more pairs for 5-10s freerider and trailcross. Trailcross is my favorite shoe for cycling and commuting. I'm a size 11 1/2 because my size 11 freeriders are a bit short. I really like trailcross, but I need a more durable shoe for colder conditions. I ordered 11 1/2 based on my experience with other 5-10 sneakers but I need 12 and I never wear 12. These shoes are really well made and the materials seem to be excellent. Tighter than Trailcross and less prone to waterlogging than…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I will add later

Great upgrade from the usual five ten free rides (when going downhill)

After hurting my toe (still hurting 8 days later) while riding at a local bike park decided I'm looking for a pair of shoes better suited for downhill riding. I've spent the last two years with a pair of Fiveten Freeriders and while they're great for recreational mountain biking, they lack real protection. That's where these Fiveten Impact Pros come in. They are strong but not bulky and offer a much higher level of protection around the toes and ankles. Oh, and they're very, very, very grippy…

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Good but not great
