terrible quality on weather radios

The charging port was not secured well so just plugged it back into the radio when it was only my second or third try. This means I have to use batteries that wear out quickly. The hand crank is ok, but it doesn't take very long to charge the device.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons

Battery lasts at least 2 hours

500mA battery so I chose it for its compact size. The battery is not dead yet, but has been used very little. Many years ago I had a crank radio, but the plastic crank broke. The crank on this one is plastic, but at least it uses solar power and 2 other power options.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Damaged

VERY HELPFUL! Fits weather radios

This product combines good quality with a really nice design! With all the different functions, the multifunctional radio is still very simple and easy to use. The product can be powered by solar, crank, USB port or 3 AA batteries. This makes the radio ideal for all circumstances. If you are looking for an emergency radio for beginners for the price, you have come to the right place.

Pros
  • Top marks from testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Band

Great radio for emergencies!

I think this is a great option to add to my Hurricane kit. I live in a fairly turbulent area of the country where hurricanes and tornadoes are a real threat. This radio works without batteries as there are three ways to power the device. It can be powered by battery, solar panel and hand crank. So you always know what happens during and after an emergency. All in all a great product!

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Update available

Big sound in a small package

The blue color is very pretty. I love the fact that there are four different ways to charge this radio. Right now I have 3 triple batteries powering it. If you plan to store the radio I would not recommend leaving batteries in it. Batteries can leak and damage the radio. The built-in LED flashlight is very bright. Enough to illuminate a room or hallway. I haven't tried solar charging yet. I used a manual crank which is quick and easy to use. Spin it a hundred times to get a full charge…

Good in an emergency Ref. No.

This is one of those things you get and then hope you never have to use. The radio is battery operated, but can also be turned by hand and with the help of an antenna you can receive any local station. or news from there. There is also a small solar panel for charging, as well as a crank or USB cable. If required, the device can also emit a siren signal. The speaker isn't very good, the sound quality is poor, but it works and you can receive AM/FM or use it as a siren. Really great in an…

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
