Good adapter for groundwater drainage

I just installed this over the weekend (a day ago) so durability remains to be seen but it did exactly what I needed with an adjustable Y design as the previous T adapter I had leaked terribly. I used PVC tape. to secure the connections and hope this fixes the long term leak issues I was having previously. My main addition to this is an adapter that fits a 4" drain pipe to prevent additional leakage.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Use ONLY with Model #55020 DWV for Flex Drain Pipe

Used with Model #55020 DWV Flex Drain Connector. T/Y has one female and two male holes and only the 55020 DMV Connector is suitable for connecting a section of flex drain tubing . Confused by many, Flex-Drain also sells what is called a "universal" connection and despite its name is only suitable for use with 3" or 4" corrugated tubing and is not compatible with the Flex-Drain drain pipe.

Pros
  • . Understood!
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Probably suitable for light duty (small) use

The product definitely does not have the shock resistance of a standard corrugated pipe (hope that's obvious). I didn't find the setup much more flexible or useful than the standard hard Y-connection. I don't mind recommending it unless you're using it in dynamic weight conditions or in major overload situations (IOW, don't plan on driving a car or a heavy lawn mower over it and digging in than 18 inch stuff - dirt or stone).

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Was damaged

Poor design and leaks are good for rough plumbing.

I needed this to supplement my current setup but it is leaking water. I don't understand how on earth they expect you to connect 4 to 4 without leaking. You can't fit tight enough for this to work properly. Even 4 inch connectors leak. Looks like I'll have to buy an ANOTHER plug that goes from 4" to 3" so I can route it in the 4" so it doesn't leak. For one of my drains I need to go 4 to 3" and then use 4 to 3 in. It's ridiculous what I and others have to go through to make this work without…

Good product, but you should know that before you buy!

If you're buying this, you're probably connecting multiple drainpipes (I bought a 50ft drainpipe for my garden a few months ago and needed a second 50ft drainpipe to extend that drainpipe ). system to my front yard drain). As a previous reviewer pointed out, you need a hookup! Major hardware stores don't stock this product (at least not mine) so don't count on going to the hardware store to buy connectors like I did. So make sure you have female to female connectors (should be 4 inches on each…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • There are imperfections

Exactly what I needed - BUT I have concerns

They seem hard to find for some reason although I suspect it's more of a local item than anything else. I like this particular WYE better as it is a 4" corrugated pipe for straight and the Y shape itself is flexible and fits on 3" or 4" corrugated pipe. I prefer the clean 4 "or 3" WYE as both can be adjusted. The WYE itself is made from a softer plastic which lends itself well to floor drains; the "hard" ones can become brittle over time but this one doesn't. I like them However, there was a…
