Clear and good for details!

I am very happy with these carving tools! I mainly do miniature work. The example shown is just over an inch square. I used V1 to cut out this stamp. Very easy to use. Easy to control lines. I like how it feels in my hand. I used the Speedball tools but I think the Flexicut tools are better.

Great for wood carving tools

Make sure you have a Flexcut sling to sharpen! I sharpen mine before every carving session and it makes a huge difference in how smooth the carving comes out. I love these little tools for all sorts of details and markings. There is a V-shaped tip and the rest is U-shaped, small to medium in size. I wish there was another V tip but I'm still very happy with this set.

Ideal for small details. Convenient and accurate.

I love these tools! They feel comfortable in my hand, make thin, precise lines and glide easily over soft material like the Speedy Carve. They are excellent for fine lines and details. The company even sent a packet of band-aids, which I thought was very thoughtful as it's so easy to get tangled in the threads and cut yourself. Definitely recommend to any new block printer looking for a great toolkit. .

They are also great for trimming broken antiques that I repair.

I use it to remove bits of wood in a hole where a tip broke off in an old spinning wheel. The spokes and other connections are made with dowels, and if they break after 100-200 years, you'll have to drill out some of the material and cut out the rest if it was glued or fastened in a way that's not easy to release. This tool kit helps a lot, as does the other kit I got for different size holes.

I have used them for figurine carving

I have used them for figurine carving and intend to continue using them as I make miniature Victorian furniture which requires many molds for flowers and other ornaments . .The only problem I have is trying to sharpen them. I use hardwood now, and pushing a blunt point into hardwood usually results in injury. They are so small that the regular stones I have to sharpen are too big and/or not rounded. I bought something to help sharpen these little tools, but it turned out to be nothing more than

Some edge defects are workable

Until this recent purchase I liked the Flexcut tools. In my opinion the quality control of the production has gone down. I explain: There are four tools in this micro palm set, each with a specific shape, design and purpose. The design and usability of these tools are well thought out. When it comes to trimming and sharpening, however, many wishes remain unfulfilled. The three tools I received have jagged and jagged edges. The tools are certainly sharp and polished, but the sculpted edges are…
