I use this to mount a camera to a fence; another one on the tree. (I do not recommend putting up a tree. The wind will blow branches and the record will be lost). They are very convenient for quick installation without tools. They are very strong and flexible to adjust the position of the camera. We have plenty of wind to solve pretty much anything that needs to be secured in place. I don't need more just yet, but I would choose them again. I hope they don't stop making them. .good product.

They are durable and hold the camera well. But - the strangest thing. I have 2 of these. One works perfectly, the camera captures movement, there are no problems. However, the two cameras I had attached to the other mount no longer detected movement. They worked fine before I screwed the mount onto the camera. I mounted it on the patio railing with an Arlo camera about 3 months ago. He was almost unattended as my deck is not in use. When I checked it tonight to charge the battery, I saw that most of the metal part had come loose from the white flexible part. I pulled the camera a bit and the metal screw fell out. I use it indoors so I can't speak about its weather resistance but for me it does the job well. I didn't want to drill or mount anything to the walls, so I looked for something that could hold my Arlo in place with some sort of handle or lever. It grips the railing of my stairs very well. It's fairly malleable and will take the shape you bend it into very easily; You can bend the rubber multiple times in any direction.
