Easy to paint - easy to install.

This strip is easy to paint the color of a pine floor. The assembly on the two open sides of the corner pan was easily possible with viscous superglue and an activator spray.

Perfect for tricky turns

Purchased to complete a sweeping stair apron that has a twist and curve. Mounted with construction glue and 23g headless nails, sanded down a few burrs and even cleaned up the camber with a very sharp chisel. Expensive but good for the tight spots. I'm buying a different profile for curved stairs, not for sawing the wood equivalent.

Flexible shoe molding, works great.

There was a sharp bend in the bullnose riser. The material matched the profile of the clog and even had some wood grain to give it an authentic feel. I didn't need any glue, just a few extra 18 gauge nails around the bend. They recommend using a pinner, but I had the 18th and it worked great. The nail holes also closed behind the nails so they didn't have to be filled. Shoes arrived quickly and in good condition. This was my first experience with a flexible trimmer and I will definitely use it…

  • Comfortable to use
Cons

Flexible and finished like wood

I love this finish! I have a rounded stair step and a floating floor that requires custom made shoes. I cut very easily with a fine-toothed blade and actually cut with a utility knife after my angle got too steep. I mailed it with an 18 gauge nail gun and the holes healed on their own. I used masking tape to cover the surrounding areas and painted over with an oil based stain. I applied the stain evenly and just let it dry while wiping which removed too much (no penetration). I sprayed an oil…

Did the job for Millwork

Tried two other flexible shoe finishes before deciding to purchase the FlexTrim #WM126. At first I avoided this product because it was $25 for eight feet, while the big box product was less than $10 each. The other two (from a major retailer) didn't have the flexibility to wrap the curve around the stair. I shrugged and bought this - I needed something better than what I had. It flexed well (and even allowed me to cover the area where I had cut and installed a bar that was too short). I pressed
