I bought these candles to add some color to the room. They give a lot of light, they have already been knocked off the bedside table and have not broken. When they're off they look pretty fake, but when they're on they look real. The "flame" swings back and forth like a real flame. So real my husband tried to blow it out. I gave him a little taste before confessing. Highly recommended for safer use of candles.

With the remote control you can turn them on and off, set them to 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours, after which they will automatically turn off and on again the next day at the same time. I bought eight sets of these candles - they are almost perfect for the bedroom and living room. At the same time, they look realistic, but cast harsh circles of light on the ceiling. This is when you know the candles are fake. To get around this, I bought thin sheets of semi-rigid plastic that are 90% transparent. I've been using my set of these flameless candles for about 1 month and so far I haven't found anything that I'm disappointed with. The way the "Flame" was conceived is brilliant in my opinion. The plastic "flame" floats and dances on a thin wire that moves under the influence of the ambient air. Hoping for the best, I bought two sets of these, both worked great on the first try (note the AAA batteries).
